THREE EXPLORERS
TO PRESENT AT SCUBAFEST 2009


John Chatterton, Keynote Speaker
John is one of the world’s most accomplished and well-known wreck divers. He was a co-host of History Channel's Deep Sea Detectives. His 1991 discovery and subsequent identification of the German submarine U-869 off the coast of New Jersey has been the subject of several television documentaries and the book Shadow Divers.
John will be the keynote speaker at Saturday’s banquet and will be giving other presentations throughout the weekend. http://www.johnchatterton.com/index.php



David Trotter, Seminar Presenter
David is a renowned shipwreck discoverer, deep diver, author, lecturer and photographer. In over 20 years of diving, he has been the first to locate, identify and document more than 80 Great Lakes shipwrecks. Through his organization, Undersea Research Associates, David creates visual underwater time capsules of marine history. The adventures of David Trotter and his team are the subject of the book, Shipwreck Hunter, written by Gerry Volgenau.
David will be giving several presentations throughout the weekend.

Valerie van Heest, Seminar Presenter
Director of Michigan Shipwreck Research Associates (MSRA) and a member of the Women Divers Hall of Fame, Valerie has been involved in shipwreck exploration and documentation for 20 years. She has written and directed more than a dozen documentary films and appeared on major television news networks including the Discovery Channel. She regularly presents the dramatic stories of ships gone missing on the Great Lakes. Valerie has contributed to many books, newspaper articles, and other media sources and is awaiting publication of her first children’s book: Icebound!
She will be giving two presentations during ScubaFest 2009.
