Steve Treinish, Instructor Trainer with the Public Safety Diving Association, State of Ohio Lead Swiftwater Instructor, State of Ohio Fire Instructor, 21 years with Columbus, Ohio Fire Department, served for 16 years with the Millersport Volunteer Fire Department, Author of Technical Rescue, Water! Currently assigned to Ladder 2 with the City, and the lead instructor for the CFD Dive and Rescue Team.
We will be taking a look at common stressors in the public safety arena, and many of these stressors can be found in recreational diving. Tools and evolutions to help prepare teams and divers for a smooth response, and taking care of the divers both before and after the mission.
